I can't believe it has been more than a month since I posted something on my blog!!!! Sorry about that, I guess I must have been busy with Christmas!
Anyway here is my Scrapbook page for Daisy and Dandelion, its again Christmas based, but I like it, as I always associate New Years with Christmas, as I think many do.

At long last I have finally found an opportunity to post up this project! Better late than never I guess! I decided to make a card with matching Christmas earrings-something a little different I hope. Also I turned a jam jar into a little latern using some stickers. Details of how to make this project can be found on the daisydandelion blog. And heres a piccy for you all to see.

And to finish a lady was after a special card making from a poem she wrote, so I amde this up using proucts from the Claire Curd range

I decided to have a go at the Be Chic challenge over on the stampin chic blog this week, and seeing as I have lots of Christmas Cards to make it had to be along that theme! No cards to day but just to let you know I am selling some items on ebay which finish today, they are all Basic Grey, I thought best to keep half of my stuff, and sell the other half to help pay for new things.

A spooky birthday card

Hi All
Hope you are all keeping well. Weather is still warm and sunny here in Turkey.
Today I would like to show the project I made for Daisy and Dandelion. The design word was 'halloween', and although I didnt actually make a halloween project I still used all my projects from the trick or treat range of Daisy and Dandelion, not only that I wanted to show people how verstaille the range is, and that you can make a whole host of others things with the beautiful papers, die cuts.

House Mouse Card

Hi everyone-sorry I havent loaded any cards for a while, my mojo seemed to have gone away on holiday after all those anniversary cards I made!!!! Anyway I had a new order (well two actually!!!) come from Simon Says Stamp, and inside were lots of yummy yummy things which has really inspired me (oh by the way Simon Says Stamp are wonderful!).
I really enjoyed making this card with my House Mouse stamp called Beaded Tree, I have never seen such hugh stamps and the image comes out perfect. I decided to use alternative colours for this Christmas cards, I just love alternative colour christmas cards with a bit of silver added in. I used my new Orchid Dew Drops and Christmas Green Prima Flowers. I also got the sewing machine out, and this the second time I have used the stitching techique. Heres the pic.

if you look really close you can see some stickles waterfall glitter on some of the beads.

My oh my!!!

Well I have some news to annouce-I am a part of the Design Team for Daisy and Dandelion!! I can't believe it, and whats more I now have 3 followers!!! Never had that before-now I know to a lot of you 3 followers is apsolutely nothing, but too me they have caused a shock horror of 'Wow people are actually going to be looking at my blog!!!' So Hi I am waving to all my followers who I treasure dearly. I we do my upmost best to blog well from now on!!! And I just can't believe I am a design team, member but I must get back to Erica and get one of those little signs that say it! Well I better away and look at some other blogs now, and getting making something to show you lot!!! There is a teddy growing in the cupboard which also needs some attending to, prehaps she could be my mascot!

Here we are again for another Just Magnolia Challenge-this one is a color combo-pink and grey with the optional use of black.
I have used my new Magnolia stamp for this one-I love it, tilda leaning of her little hands you could use this stamp for lots of different reasons-great!

Simon says stamp challange and a few others!

Hi all, said there would be something soon. I made this card for 2 challanges, one on do crafts, and the other on Simon Says Stamp Challange blog. The sketch has been designed by Claire Curd, which you can find details about on the do crafts website, Simon Says Stamp wanted us to create a card with stitching. It is the first time I have used stitching. I dont know what I think of it really, but I did enjoy doing it, and I am pleased with the finished result. I also inked the edges of the image, which I have also never done, again i am pleased with the end result. So without further ado, heres is the card eventually I think it will a happy birthday wife card, I think!

Magnolia Too Challenge and Basic Grey

Well, this is the first time I have entered Magnolia Too Challange and Basic Grey. In fact its the first time I have played with Basic Grey papers!!! I will be doing lots more playing believe me. I had little interest in their products, but won some Basic Grey stamps and they were lovely, and stamped beautifully, so I decided to give in and get some Lemonade papers! I can't wait for Eskimoo Kisses to come and those adoreable stamps! A girl can't have too many Christmas papers can she???
Anyway the challenges. Magonlia Too is to create a 3D tilda-I had lots of fun doing this-and I shall definately do it again. Basic Grey asked us to create cards with a pink-brown-yellow scheme.

I hope this fits the orders of things!

My craft space lives in the corner of the computer. Its a small area, but I love it, and its part of the apartment that is mine.

This is one side-with my desk.

And this is behind me, ther are 2 sets of drawers where Ican store most of my stuff, I must admit I have to put other stuff there too! It needs a good sort out again really. On top is my Silhouette machine, bind it all and sewing machine-which ı really need to use more of. One day maybe I will have a whole room and then I will place everything out ready to use but I really love my cute corner.

Stampin Chic Summer Colours Challenge

Well this fortnights challenge was to use summery colours. I chewed over this for a while, and decided to do this, I had a problem trying to decide how to use Claire Curds products, but got there in the end.

Just Magnolia Challenge-Tab's Sketch

Well I thought I would have a go at the Just Magnolia Challenge this week, I am surprised I got it finished mind you its been such a busy week!! Be Chic Challenge number 2

I love these Be Chic challenges, a time to think outside the box so they say-well I'm thinking about a box!! I decided to change my Dad's new sandal box into a ribbon dispensing box using a lot of paper from the Claire Curd Signature range. I stamped some flowers using the doodle stamps (from Claire Curd again), and cut flowers using my Silhouette machine. I also cut out the word Ribbon using the Silhouette machine, with one of my favourite fonts known as Quirlyques. I used my Crop a dile to make 11 holes. The brads are Papermania. I throughly enjoyed making this, and have been thinking about doing something like this for a while-and its rare I ever make anything for myself-so Be Chic gave me a ggod excuse. Also it was great to have a break from the Wedding Anniversary cards I have been asked to do recently. Here's the pics!

Oh yes and next doors cat decided he wanted to try and help with the photo's!!! I had the door open to try and get as much light in as possible, as it was only 6.30am in the morning here.

And finally here are the Thank you cards I wanted to show you all last week, again I used my Claire Curd bits and bobs to complete these-I do make cards with other things-really I do!!

Stampin Chic Sketch Challenge

I really do love a good sketch challenge, so I decided to do my Dad's Fathers Day Card using the new sketch. I was so lucky, that last week my Stampin for him stamps arrived-and they are gorgeous-and will be such a help for me as I never know what to do for blokes cards!!
I used Papermania Claire Curd range papers, and stamps to make this card-a bit of brown ribbon, and some lovely little tool charms to finish. I so thought this card was screaming out for some flowers-but I said stop this is a mans card!! Then I thought about some buttons but unfortunately I couldn't get hold of any in the right colours-another thing to add to the shopping list, to get from England. Inside the card is the spotty paper, and I cut out some brown wordsö saying 'Happy Dad's Day' for a change.
I do have some other cards I could show you but photobucket is so slow this morning, that I will leave them for another time.

Happy Birthday to my Daughter

Well oddly enough I spent last week making lots of Happy Birthday Daughter cards for a friend of mine, and it was also my daughters 4th birthday. She had lots of fun, and lots of Ponyville toys. I was also lucky enough to have my Nan, and Auntie over to celebrate to with some buns Melissa and I cooked together. They grow so quick. I got some great shots, that I hope to turn into scrapbook pages-although I haven't actually done a big one before-good excuse!!
Anyway here are the photos of some of my Daughter cards.

This card was make with Smirk Papers and chipboard embellishments, and some ribbon from my stash. I love the rub on letters by Doodblebug simply sweet collection, I've never used them before but they came off with no trouble at all. I cut out daughter using my Quickutz Silhouette machine.

This one was made using loads of Claire Curd products, Big One paper, doodles stamps, and chic party stamps. The words were made with pens inside the Quickutz Silhouette they came out an apsolute treatö and it was so easy and quick.

And finally a card using Daisy and Dandelion, Papermania Flowers and a just for you stamp.

Something Different-Be Chic Stamin Chic challenge

Hi all
I havent blogged for just over 10 days, times just goes to fast!! Today is my daughters 4th birthday, and she is busy playing with her Ponyville whilst I am quickly doing this.
Here's my entry for Stampin Chic, Be Chic challenge. I had a hard job deciding what to do as I had several ideas-but finally decided on a girlie scrapbook. I am just waiting for my bind it all arrive, and then I will fix it all together, I wont get it until friday so I thought I might as well upload this now. I am quite pleased with this, and it the 2nd scrapbook I have made. I am hoping a tourist might take a liking to it!! It has been made using ClaireCurd (papermania) stamps, and the Big One paper. Some coloured paper, and my Silhouette machine. What a whole lot of fun it is.
Anyway, here are the photos, I will finally fix this at the top with bind it all, and decorate with some more ribbons. I thought fixing at the top would be a bit different.

Stamin Chic Sketch Challenge

Here's my take of the stampin Chic stamp challenge. I have used mainly Claire Curd Signature range bits and pieces, and cut out flower shapes and the name with my Quickutz Silhouette. This card is for my husbands cousins girlfriend, it should say Happ Birthday Melike on it, but it would look something like this 'Dogum Gunu Kutlu Olsun Melike'!! Bit of a monthful isnt it-now I know why the turks aren't big on giving cards!! Due to the length I decided that her name would be just as cute, and very personal. thanks for looking, Tammy.

Well I finally have it!! It cost 150 dollars from Scrapbook Express, plus they throw in 2 extra cd's for images, and a hook and scrapper. What a deal.
I had a lot of headache to get mine though, and I would like to say this was all due to one Turkisk Cargo company. I ended up having to pay an extra 256 dollars to get this!! Take out the customs charge-of course to be expected and I spent 210 dollars extra-I wouldn't have paid this if they item had been delivered to Fethiye. Unfortunately it got stuck several hours away, and we had to drive to get it, then the cargo company wanted 2 seperate payments on top of our petrol money. I couldn't believe it. We used all our money to get this, because we didnt want to leave it after all the driving etc we had done to collect. It is beautiful though, and I am thrilled to bits, but I think I need to make lots of cards to get some of the money back for my hubbie, I feel so guilty about it, and my stomach is in knots. I will take a photo of me and machine later, all working, as I havent used it yet, I was so tired last night, and hopefully some of the cards I have made using it. 150 dollars is such a bargin if you are thinking of one of these for yourself (plus Scrapbook Express have lots of other great things-and there customer service is second to none) and remember I only had major problem due to stupid Turkish Kargo company!!! Hello all
Hope you are all well, and booking tickets to come to Fethiye Turkey for your hols! Weather is beautiful here!
I've been busy with the cards again, and sold a couple pieces of jewellery this week. I made these 2 cards this week but they are not complete yet, and I am chewing over putting some earrings on the purple one. They need sentiments and again I am waiting for my Silhouette-cry cry cry!! I think I need to make Uncle a PLEASE TAKE ME TO IZMIR card, and give hima great big kiss!! Ok here they are

Another Tilda Card, made with Claire Curd Signature Range Papers, and a Magnolia Stamp. I embossed the image and coloured with my watercolour pencils.

It has been a stressful few days, my Silhouette machine, that should have arrived on Monday, is waiting to be picked up 6 hours drive away, it was 12 hours away but I have had it shipped closer, but they refuse to send to my home town, and we have a customs here, it really has been very disappointing, as I have been so excited to give this machine a go. Hopefully really soon we will go and collect it???????? And then I can play. Thanks for reading

Well, I told you all I was waiting for something to arrive, I've decided to spill the beans and share with you all. Here it is!

I ordered this from Scrapbook Express, and instead of being 500 dollars they are selling for 150 at the mo!! I know the machine normally retails at about 350 dollars, but they also put in a cleaner for the mat, a scrapper tool, Home CD, and Holly CD!!! I cant believe it and I just can't wait!! Should be here real soon, if I am lucky prehaps tomorrow, but I am thinking more Monday. I have to sell my Cuttlebug though, I know that I cant emboss with the Silhouette, but it just too much to have both I believe, and I didnt use the embossing part too much, and I have done a few sheets to keep in any case. I shall miss her, but I believe this will be better for me.
Sorry no cards to show you today, yesterday evening I am so tired, and hubbie came home early. I am working on some Tilda cards but they are not finished yet, I love Tildas, they are new passion for sure!!

Penny Black Challenge

Well heres my entry for the Penny Black Challenge, anything goes! I love purple and pink together so decided to with that, and I am so pleased how the image came out, apart from the pink balloon, but seeing as I have only had my watercolour pencils a couple of weeks I was pleased. I used Penny Black 'Bubbly' stamps, papermania texture card and some background paper from Dove craft.

Not only that my first ever Tilda Stamps arrived today, I told the postman I loved him, because they only took a week to arrive, fortunately he didnt understand me because he's Turkish!! I can't wait to ink them up tonight and colour her in.......ah bliss! I have Tilda with Rubber ring, and Tilda eating ice cream, both of which I haven't seen on many creations. I decided on those because I want to make some special cards for the tourists. Watch this space to find out what else I have on the way, shall I tell you......ummm no I'l wait till later, I am so excited feels like my birthday or something!!

Stampin Chic challenge

Well this is the first challenge card I have ever made, and I have to say I found this a little difficult but I liked the challenge I having to stick to a sketch, quite often a card doesnt turn out how I pictured and I go off ona tangent somewhere. So here is my card using Claire Curds sketch from stampin chic!! All products from the stampin chic range, plus a pit of papermania texture card, glitz glitter and black ink with embossing! To Busy To Blog!!

I can't believe how busy I have been with cards and jewellery lately. I am trying to get everything ready for the summer season, and I just havn't had the time for any photography!! Well I am here now!! So to make up for it I have a few things to show you, they are all using the Claire Curd Signature Range, and I have there blog to thank for the inspiration for these pieces thanks girls.
Butterfly card, I put another Dingle Dangle with Happy Birthday as I have really fell in love with them, I used my new watercolour pencils to colour the butterfly, and I did a bit of clear embossing for the first time!!

Second card again another butterfly, and I love the small butterfly sitting on a flower.

And lastly my favourite, the stamps are also from the Claire Curd Range, and I used my new watercolours again, I am so pleased with how the image came out. I also added my own handmade earrings, all silver plated and my favourite Swarovski crystal.

Well I hope you agree I have been busy, and its time to get back to it again, only this time a bracelet card.
I will going to craft fayre in May to mark the beginning of Calis Carnival week, so if any of you are holidaying near the area come along, the main street is being shut off, and it starts at 11 till 4. Hope to see some of you in Calis. Bye for now.

Blog Improvements!!

Well I was looking at my blog today and thought it needed little bit of improving, and I thought I would make a seperate one for cards, but then I would lose all the info about jewellery, and I do some love the two together, especially when I design jewellery cards!! So I decided on a new name Curious cards, but I may well change this! Me being Little Miss Indecisive!!
Here are my latest offers!! Made from the new range by Claire Curd, I am so loving these, the Big One papers, and the stampin chic stamps, you really should get your hands on these!!

I love the colours.
I chalked the image with pebbles chalks, although I hope to get some watercolour pencils, or copic pens soon.

There always seems to be something to make for in the world of cards and as a result I have done any serious jewellery making for ages, I hope I havent forgotten how!!

I have found the valentines card quite challenging without any special bakground papers, I have some on the way from e bay, but they could take up to 14 days to arriveç and I really needed to get cracking with these. Anyway hope you like them.

Hello 2009 and Goodbye 2008

Happy New Year to you all. Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. Again I have been forgetting my blog, and I must make a real effort in 2009 to keep it updated. We had a nice Christmas, I was very lucky to recieve some new chalks, circle cutter and sticker machine, and a wonderful Nintendo wii from hubbie. Its such great fun, although I don't play it as much as I would like, I need to organise my time better, and soon I will write out some kind of routa for myself to manage my time.
The Christmas craft fayre went well, and I sold out of gift tags, which my 3 year old helped me make, they really were the star of the show!! She really loves crafting even now!
Well anyway, review of the year in craftie terms!! My big highlight had to be being featured in Bead Magazine- it was so wonderful to read the article and see the pics! My favourite piece my jewellery has to be this lasso I made, I decided to keep it for myself, you can wear it with anything.

My favourite card, this is a bit more difficult, I think it would have to be this one. I started making jewellery cards so you the reciever gets a gift as well.

Sorry I haven't updated this for ages-well nearly 2 months, time does seems to flyby! Haven't made a great deal of jewellery lately, although I feel the urgh to buy some new beads, and I have some new ideas-so watch this space!

No I didn't forget that I should be blogging more often!
Unfortunately no yummy pictures of Fethiye to show you, but it does give me another excuse to go off to the harbour, and grab another ice cream whilst I take some photo's-I'm sure my daughter would be very happy to hear that!!
I made a few bits and pieces this week, I am pleased with this braclet, it's the first time I have used accuflex, and I have to say it crimps wonderfully-and I love all the great colours you can get. I so enjoy finding new things in the beading world. I've also started using silver plated beads and crimp covers, and I am equally as pleased-unfortunately yet anothe thing to add to the beading lists when I go shopping!!
Here's the picture of my new bracelet-I've decided to keep this one too (however I have made another to sell!)! I used David Christian's handmade cane beads-I've fallen in love with those too!

Going seed bead mad!

Well it hasn't been all that long, since my last post, so I take my hat off to myself! I am determined to try harder with this whole blogging thing!!! I am feeling very excited today, becuase my big parcel of beadies from the states should arrive at kargo today, and seeing as I only live 5 minutes away, I think I shall go and collect! Can't wait to get stuck in and use some new beads I got from Julie Fountain the other day. Small things make us beaders so happy!!

Hopefully soon, I shall take some photo's of Fethiye, and my hubbie's shop for you to see, Fethiye is so beautiful, and the weather is apsolutely fab at the mo!

But for today, here's one necklace I am so pleased with....I think I shall name it spring lasso (name help from the Uk beaders!)

I don't normally like big jewellery for myself, but I came to the conclusion that I am a jewellery designer, and I really should make an effort to wear a bit bolder necklaces etc, so I decided to keep this one for myself. I wear it most days and have fallen in love with it. However, I felt so guilt about this I made a mini version, and bracelet to sell.

I used various Swarovski crystals, dunk beads, dyed pearls, seedies, czech beads, and some blobby lampwork beads, which I bought on a trip to Marmaris.
Well I better away now, I have just finished a brown necklace in a similar style, so I will show you soon and get some great pictures of Fethiye for you!

What a long time!

I haven't written anything for such a long time-apolgises! I have no excuse either!

The weather has been very up and downy lately, what sunny day we have are really quite warm now, although in between we are get bursts of April Showers! It's not just a case of raining cats and dogs, and should think it was raining cats, dogs, snakes, hamsters and guinea pigs. That could be why I haven't posted much lately-busy with our new addition, a little guinea pig I have named Dimple. He is very cute, he was left at a pet shop bt another family, so already pretty tame, and he is getting even better, I can take him out the cage without him running away now-which I think is excellent. Anyway enough of that....what have I been making, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, featuring fab lampwork beads by Tan- tanofcourse, Julie- lush lampwork and Anna -Beads on Toast . All have Swarovski, and some have dyed pearls-umm yummy!

I feel like I have been so busy lately, making some jewellery and lots of polymer clay beads. I hope to show you the polymer clay beads soon, I've been very busy tonight buffing them with my rotary tool. Here are my latest two. The green one is called Medetarrian, and it made with another Tania Gry Focal www.tanofcourse.co.uk. and lots of Swarovski Crystals, in various shades, Ernite, Emerald Indicote to name a few. I decided to finish this piece with silver plated chain. The second is called Sweet delight. The lampwork has been designed by Julie www.lushlampwork.co.uk and I added lots of Swarovski crystal to this too, I love Swarovski Crystal!! I used some purple cord to complete this. Well I better away, I really feel like starting another necklace now I have all this new found energy and inspiration. Thanks for reading, and keep watching this space.

Sorry I never did show you the photo's of some of the beads I have been making. These aren't the first ever beads I made, but these are my attempts after a couple of weeks. And here's me!! Not a proper studio set up, but it's all in my mind to set up at the beginning of Spring, prehaps April or May. I'm going to get my Dad to make an overhead ventilation set up for me (although not asked yet!!), and we are going to move around the furniture in the computer room to accomadate my torch. My jewellery making desk is plenty big enough to be multi purpose, so it should work out great I hope!! Hope you have enjoyed seeing these pictures.

At Last!

It has been so busy lately what with Christmas, and New Year, and now all of a sudden it has all ended with a great big bump! I am feeling quite bored at the mo, my hubbie offered to take me away on holiday- but it's too expensive, especially after Christmas. So I have busied myself dreaming about getting my kiln so I can anneal my glass beads, and making jewellery yet again-it's so great to have the bug back again, I go to bed dreaming about the next necklace or bracelet I am going to make, and I often do dream about beads, once I dreamt I was at a bead show, and it was so fab, and I bought some lovely beads-unfortunately I didn't have them when I woke up, I was quite disappointed when I realised it was just a dream. I finished this necklace last night, which I have named Midnight, and a week or so a go I finished these cute earring when I have a named Rose Garden, or prehaps even a Cornish Rose Garden, seeing the lampwork beads were made by my cornish friend Tan, at http://www.tanofcourse.co.uk/. Midnight boasts a lot of beautiful Swarovski Crystals and a lovely Tigers eye pendant. The silver swirled beads are handmade by me, and I think they add a nice touch. What shall I get up to next prehaps a bracelet to match the earrings, and then maybe some more polymer clay beads. I need to get selling, as I am saving up for my kiln!! Thanks for reading again.

Christmas is Over!

I really can't believe how quick time flies, it's been a month since I blogged anything!! What with Christmas and feeling poorly, time has gone very quickly and I have had to make lists of things to things to do, I had a craft market at the beginning of the month, so everything else went on hold for a week a two whilst I prepared. And then I had some Christmas pressies to make. I did a little lampworking, although not a great deal, I still enjoy it so much, can't wait to get my kilin in the future. After that, all I seemed to manage to do in the evenings was sleep more and more and more, I was normally in bed by 9, and that was early even for me! Tonight I finished a pair of earrings ready for the summer, which I am so pleased with, I shall show you guys a photo soon. They also look very summery too, so hopefully they will encourage the lovely warm sunrays to come back really soon. I hope to make a matching bracelet very soon.
We had a lovely Christmas, my daughter understands more now, and keeps saying Merry Christmas and Father Christmas, and she learnt to sing Jingle Bells too-it's so cute! We've been very lucky, lots of people have bought mince pies or sent them to us, and I managed to buy some Christmas pudding at the Christmas Market I went to, it was very scrummy and such a treat! It's so cold here!

The weathe here is miserable at the moment, which is unusual for this time of year. Rain, thunder, lightening and cold!!!!! I don't like i wish the summer would come back!! But I guess the rain is good for the garden. I've been been busy making two more necklaces. One is a flower necklace, I handmade the flowers from fimo, and added lots of wire and swarovski crystals. I am entering this into to a competition, and they like big pieces, I've seen the stuff before and I don't think I would wear any of it!! The second is a necklace I made using some lampwork beads by Julie-www.lushlampwork.co.uk. I was lucky enough to be given these beads from a ten bead challenge-extra, she's so kind. I added a few Swarovski (as per normal!) and bob's your uncle. No sign of my lamp working kit yet, I'm getting so fustrated as I know that it is in the country!!! I have improved my website, so why don't you pop over there and have a look-and don't forget my christmas sale!!

Well, you've proberbly been wondering what this cornish maid has been up to lately, as always busy-busy, I hardly seem to stop in the day what so ever, and then in the evenings I'm on the computer and making bead or jewellery. I have some new polymer clay beads.

A focal called All in a whirl, a small pillow bead set named All mixed up,

and a purple and aqua set called Fantasy Twists. All of them can be found on my website for sale, go on have a look! I would also like to announce that I have done something crazy-there is a Christmas Sale on my website-to make christmas shopping a lot more easier and pleasant for you, some of my jewellery and beads have been reduced!

Just so you know Turkey has been cold and wet for the past few days, my washing is wet, and today I have felt cold-I don't like it, I hope it gets a little bit nicer soon, although I doubt it now, most of the tourists have gone home and it feels like winter! I am waiting for a lampworking kit to arrive soon!! Can't wait, I don't even know if I'i be able to make my own glass beads, but I'm ready to have a go-don't know until you try!

Pixie Earrings

I have been so busy lately, updating my website, and making a few changes, making polymer clay beads, and a little bit of jewellery too. I feel like I never stop, I'm always doing something!! These are my newest earrings. I called them Pixie, becuase they have been made my two cornish maids!! I got the beads from Tania Grey (www.tanofcourse.co.uk), who is a lampwork designer from Cornwall, also I'm from Cornwall too!!! I really love these lampwork beads, lots of different colours to play with, and I've course I added my favourite Sworvski Crystals, I wire wrapped the bottom loops, and added sterling silver ear pieces.

I will show you some pictures of my latest polymer clay beads soon, but if you would like a sneeky peck they are on my website, and I have some more to sand and buff tonight, although I am feeling so tired, my hubbies cousins visited today with there young chidren and it has apsolutely exhausted me-more than shopping!!! Tomorrow I am going to spend a few hours wprking so my hubbie can go and watch football! We use to work together in the same shop, so if he would like to go and do something special I fill in for him-I am stand in manageress!!!

Hi there, sorry I haven't been around for a while. I've been feeling a little bit poorly lately, all from some naty tablets the doctor gave me, but I am feeling much better today-lets hope it stays that way now. I made this seed beady necklace, I've never done anything like this before, and I enjoyed it, I don't know how pleased I am with the end result, but I enjoyed learing all the new techique, becuase I have been feeling unwelllately it took me 2 weeks (in the eve) to make!!! But no rush, things haven't been moving very fast lately, unfortunately, my hubbie keeps telling me there are no good quality customers around at the mo, but I would love to sell just one more piece before all the tourists pack up and go home. Fairy Wishes!

Hello All! Time for another picture this is my newest piece, called Fairy Wishes. I am very pleased with this as it is the first time I have used

wire wrapping on headpins. I used glass flower beads, seed beads, Czech Crystal, Swarovski bicones, hearts, butterflies and pearls to complete this. I also added a little fairy charm too. The only question is to keep this or to sell it, I really love it and it took me ages to make, but in another way I would love to sell it too. I just can't decide, at the end of the day you can't keep everything you make for yourself can you!!!!

Weather is getting cooler now, which is making jewellery creating a lot easier!!! I have itching like mad though!! I got bit by a spider the other day and came up in a rash everywhere!!! Hubbie took me to the hospital for an injection, it went away really quickly but it is back again now, although not so bad!!!! What a thing!!!!

Ocean Jasper

Here I am again, and what an exciting day!!!! Nic, from the Uk beaders Forum came to Turkey for a holiday, in my home town, so we met up, and talked about life and beads!!! It was fab because I have no one to talk to beads with-I talk to hubbie, my 2year old daughter and my Mum and Dad, but they don't have a passion for beads, if you know what I mean. It was lovely to toss ideas two and fro. It would be so lovely to be part of an English group here, just to meet up, and share ideas about beading etc. Nicola also treated me to one of her Dichronic pendant necklaces, which is beautiful, and a nice petite size for me, I will show you a picture soon. I love it, and the gemstone beads she also gave me-what a treat.

I am waiting for another bead order and a couple of books to arrive, can't wait-one is about seed beading which I thought I might have ago at through the winter.

Here is my new Bracelet, named Natural Jasper made from Ocean Jasper Ovals, and lots of Swarovski crystal bicones in natural earthy colours. I Haven't posted anything for a while-sorry about that!!!! But I have been busy with my beads, and I am waiting for a large order to come from Amercia, and a couple of books from Amazon. One is by Donna Kato-how to create different polymer clay bead surfaces (came out on the 1st September), another called Mastering Beadwork-hopefully I shall learn how to seed bead, and finally, The Art of Polymer Clay beads- which is going to be a christmas present from my Mum and Dad. I can't wait to recieve my bead order (i've got some Ocean Jasper coming-which I've been waiting to buy for ages, and some Crystal Copper Swarovski Crystal-and lots of other bits-including a craft mate storage bag, which looks fab!!!!), or my books, I love reading about beading!!!! Well here is what I have been busy making. The first is called An Evening Out, I could just imagine this piece with an elegant black dress, for those special parties, and christmas meals. It has been made with silver plated chain, Fushia, Jet and Peridot Swarovski Bicones and a Vitrail Medium Swarovski Heart-which I love!!!

The second doesn't have a name yet-I used semi precious Aquamarine-Amethyst and Citrine, along with Pacific Opal, Citrine, and Violet Swarovski bicones. Thanks for looking again.

Purple Mood!

No, I've not disappeared, I've been doing a few different things lately-like treating myself to watching the telly and early nights as I have been so tired. However, felt like getting creative last night, and made this I've called it Pretty in Purple. I made it using Crystal AB, Violet and Aquamarine Swarovski crystals, purple coloured glass real effects beads, and Swarovski blue pearls. I finished it off with this stunning heart, which flashes purple and blue, (sorry this has a special name but I don't know it for sure), and added silver plated chain. I really like it and you can wear it as a choker or longer (although this does depend on the size of your neck!!!!). Not all that long till christmas now, and I shall making a few bits for the festive season soon, so keep watching this space!!

Oh my Gosh! Tagged!!

Just looked on my friend Jo's blog and found out I have been tagged to tell you six weird things about me!!

1. I feel like I never got any older than 18, and have been told often that I only look this age too-prehaps the power of the mind keeps me looking young!!!

2. I have my very own dictionary, my Mum and Dad both say to me, thats not a word, thats just another one to add to the Tammy dictionary!!! Only problem is my Turkish husband has learnt a lot of English words from me, wonder what english people think when they talk to him-sometimes I have to translate what they've said back in our own little languagage!!!

3. I am a Doctor Who fan on the quiet, one of my favourite Dr's is Patrick Troughton, who was the second doctor, and one of my favourite videos is Tomb of the Cyberman-in Black and white, as it is so old. (Actually in the video there is alot of snow, and the first time I watched it my Mum went out , when she came back she was covered in snow, it had snowing outside I hadn't even noticed, my Mum told me never to watch that snowy video while she was out again!!!)

4. When I sleep I often dream that I am at bead show's!!! Or I am back working nights again in the hospital!!!

5. My hair changes colour!! In the summer it's goes quiet blonde-natural highlights, people use to ask me if I had my hair dyed, when I said no, they said I was lying!!!

6. I could eat watermelon and ice cream morning, noon and night!!!!

Ruburb & Custard Bracelet

Hello All, here is my latest offering, it's called Ruburb and Custard because of the pink and yellow mix. I used Rose, light Rose, Chalk White, Citrine Swaroski Crystals, glass pearl effect beads, seed beads, and two yellow glass foil beads. Oh yes, and don't forget those pink glass flowers too. I am really pleased with how it turned out, and I don't normally feel this happy with anything I make. Thanks for looking

Haven't been up to a lot lately, went to visit my hubie's cousin today but unfortunately she was out, oh and two days ago I bumped the car, I felt like a fool. Someone parked at the traffice light-I beeped for them to move, only to discover there are no one in the drivers seat-just a passenger. I moved the car round and banged into the the side of a van!!! Myself and daughter were fine, as I was barely moving, but the poor car, and it's looking better now. I really didn't know what to do or say, everyone talking turkish around me, I notice by the time I got out of the car the parked car had sped off!!!! Really made me feel very nervous, and I went crying off to hubbie's shoulder!! I thought too my head had been all over the place lately.

Shell Earrings

I made these earrings a while back, but thought I would show you all, as I do like them. I have busy doing a comission but unfortunately forgot to take a photo of it!!!! It is now waiting for the lady to go and collect. She liked one of the necklaces I had made, but it needed to be longer, and have lots of purple stones. I made her some earrings too, as a small present, so hope she likes the jewellery. I made a pink and yellow bracelet, the other night, so hopefully I will take a picture tomorrow and show you all.

You wouldn't believe how hot it has been here the past two days, we have had another burst of asian wind!! This evening the breeze feels normal again, hope it will be nicer tomorrow.

Swirling Beads!!

I've been busy yet again, swirling beads, I really must try something new now!!! These beads were made from swirling lentils, but I added pieces of cane this time, so they look different and I do like the effect this gives. I love the pastel shades, and decided to leave these beads matt, rather than adding varnish.

Decided I am going to give the beads a little rest, and start on a bit more jewellery again tonight, so watch this space. It is still so hot here!

My Mermaids!

It's just so hot here today, difficult to do anyhting really-even beading!!!!! The littleist job makes you break out into a pool!!! A pool thats what I need. Think I shall go be lazy for an hour after this, and prehaps grab 20 winks, after which I am making Cornish Pasty's yum yum, yes I have bought Cornwall to Turkey in my own little way!!!

Here is my latest necklace, using my own polymer clay mermaid. I made wire swirls from a pattern on the wig jig website (fab website by the way hugh!!), I made some twist and curl beads (also details for this are on the wig jig website too, and did some chain maillie to complete this. I enjoyed making this necklace, becuase there are so many different elements to it. I am sending it away for a turkish jewellery making competition. I have sent several things, and had my pieces shown in their magazine, but no prizes. But it doesn't matter, they send me a copy of the magazine later, and if you work gets printed thats great too.

The second photo is a mermaid pendant I made, the mermaid is sitting on a rock looking at the moon and stars. Well I have to go now before I faint, even typing is hard work. Have a great weekend all.

Well, I've finally managed to finish my polymer clay bead page, I finally found that hyperlink button!!! Sorry I was a day late opening!!! At the moment I have only one set uploaded to the web, but I have some beads here waiting to go into the oven, and hope to make some more tonight, so watch this space!!!

I've been busy today, spent the day with my hubbie's cousin, helping to take care of her new baby, she is now 33 days old, but she cries quite a lot, it's unbelievable the different ideas they have in Turkey about babies, and how you should look after them, when I had my daughter, I was toren between what they were saying and what I knew from England!! Here's a photo of the baby, she's so cute isn't she!!! Had a lovely day!

Also I put lots of new contacts on my website part as well and they don't appear to be showing either, I'm sure I'm doing something silly, anyway as a test I thought I would show you a wedding photo from 5 years ago, seems a long time now!!! This is a Turkish wedding! Look at the cake, it was 8 tiers!!!! OK, I see it now my blog is working!! Yippee!!! Hope you like the wedding photo's, brings a flutter back to my heart to remember the first days I met my hubbie, that first love is great isn't it! I love you my Hubbie!! I love you so much.x

Polymer Clay Beads for Sale Soon!

I have been busy working on my website lately, I am hoping to add a tiara page in the not too distant future, and my polymer clay bead page is nearly ready, prehaps I will upload it tonight or tomorrow. I don't have alot on my new polymer clay bead page yet, but I have lots of ideas I hope to get working on very very soon!!! Here are some new beads called Fairy Secrets. They are so shiney, I don't really want to sale them, as I love them so much, but if I don't I shall turn them into some jewellery!!!

I forgot to say in my previous post that I now have a new camera, a Canon powersot, and it's great, I am so pleased with the quality of photo's it is producing, it has a wonderful super macro setting too. All I need now is too sit down and make a lighting tent with my Dad, and hopefully that will improve them further. Here are some more photo's of the lentil beads I made, this have been buffed and sanded but not yet varnished, I believe the varnish really brings out the twinkle in the so well.

Well, here I am again. Yet another bracelet using my own polymer clay beads-I really enjoy making swirled lentil beads, they are such great fun, and the colour combinations are endless!! This bracelet is called Sweetie because it remins me of lovely yummy sweets I use to eat when I was a child. I enjoyed making this bracelet, I used Violet, Violet Opal, and Rose AB Swarovski crystals, Czech crystal, and a few seed beads. The other photo shows one of the clay beads I made. I haven't thought of a name for these yet.

A new bracelet!

Today I finished a bracelet using my swirled lentil beads-I decided to varnish them, and it really bought out the glitter beautifully. I made this bracelet with various Swarovski crystals-Pacfic Opal-Fushia etc, and purple Czech crystals. I also added a few shells bits too and some seed beads. I am pleased with the finished result, although the photo doesn't show the true colours.

My First Polymer Clay Beads

Well, here they are my first ever polymer clay beads. The photo's do them no justice at all!! They aren't really wonderful but look a lot better than the photo's say!!! I have called the bigger beads sherbert swirls, they are relly glittery, and the others I don't have a name for yet, but they are swirled lentil beads, I will work on getting a better image, and add this later!!!! I made the Sherbert swirls using the Mokeme Gome technique, the colours turned out lovely, and although it looks like there is red inside, it is actaully more of a dark pink colour. The most important thing is though I enjoyed making them and I feeli like a learnt something too-a step in the right direction I hope!!!

It's Arrived!

Well, after waiting a couple of weeks, my Polymer book by Carol Blackburn has arrived-yippee!!! I have had a quick scan and read, and I feel quite scaried about starting to make these beads!! Daft isn't it, I think, to be honest I have a fear of failure. But I must start out on this venture open minded and positive, I know I have to be patient, not rush and not expect miracles over night! Hum thats good, and now I've written it in my blog I can read it always!! My stuff also arrived from Emma Ralph. The glitters are wonderful, love those colours, and foils too, can't wait to try them, and everything was so well packed and the shipping cost was great, really really pleased, and only 8 days to Turkey amazing!! If you haven't seen Emma's web site there are some great pieces over there, she is a fab bead artist.

Thought I would show you these, I bought a Paua shell from my uncle, and used my new rotary tool to cut out the shapes I needed, I still have loads of shell left, and I love it that I can chose what shapes I want. I used Silver plated ear wires, and Swarovski Crystals to finish this piece.

Trying Hard!!

I seem to have gone completely blank lately, I am trying hard to join a blogroll, but don't seem to be getting anywhere!!! Have no idea where to start really!!! Lets hope my friends from the jewellery making forum let me into there little secret soon!!!

I haven't written anything for ages, but just been so busy to do this and that. Went to England with my daughter, and parents in May-and it just rained and rained!!!! It was nice though, my gran parents got to meet there great grand daughter for the first time, and I got to visit the new beads shops in Cornwall-what a treat, I even bought a copy of Bead magazine, and throughly enjoyed it becuase I have only ever been able to enjoy the pictures in the Turkish magazines!!!

I have made some more jewellery, one of which I called the Blue Lagoon, inspired by the Blue Lagoon in Ouldeniz. I am quite pleased with this.

My new venture is to start making my own polymer clay beads, I was thinking about making my own glass beads, but it just wouldn't be practical here in Turkey-I would have to buy everthing off the internet, and if I really got into it and could never afford to up grade to all the proper equipment and kilins. So I decided this would be the next best thing. I've bought some Fimo, got my pasta machine today, and now I am waiting for my book and other bits to arrive from England, the book should be anyday now, and I can't wait!!! Hope to show you all some new beads in the future.

Tutti Frutti Bangle

Last night I finished this piece, and I named it Tutti Fruitti, because all the crystals reminded me of the bits you get in Tutti Frutti ice cream, and this is also a summery piece. Would look lovely for a garden party, or a wedding. The wire is Silver Plated, and the crystals are Swarovski and Czech.

This is my first blog entry, I am hoping to show all those interested the different jewellery I create. A couple of days ago I finished this piece, I called it Copper Colours Flower Set, I made this from Swarovski Crystals, Czech Crystals, pearls, and flowers which I made myself. The bracelet is also made from the same components. I used copper wire to construct this set. I love copper at the moment, and it looks especially good with shells.
